Day 1: Depart from New York City (JFK)
Overnight flight on Air France to Paris's Charles De Gaulle
airport.
Day 2: Welcome to Paris, Orientation and Welcome Dinner
at the Eiffel Tower
Welcome to Paris, After getting your Passport stamped at the
Paris Charles De Gaulle airport the group will be greeted at
the airport and transferred via private coach to our 4* hotel.
The first thing you will notice is the beautiful architecture and
the energy of Paris. This is the start of your Beyond Paris
adventure. After you unpack your bags, you can explore the
neighborhood, and just enjoy being in Paris.
In the evening you will join your fellow Soul Planet Travel
guests for a quick orientation. Then we will be picked up by our
local guide to a Welcome Dinner at the restaurant "Altitude 95"
which is situated on the 1st Floor of the Eiffel Tower.
Day 3: Black Paris Lecture and City Tour
Monique Y. Wells co-author of Paris Reflections: Walks
Through African-American Paris. She will present an overview
of African-American history with a focus on the 20th and 21st
centuries. (Essence of Black Paris tour guest will receive a
copy of this book) Learn about statesmen and soldiers as
well as artists and entertainers, and discover the story behind
the myth of a colorblind France. The lecture is followed by a
question and answer period. Wells has given this
presentation for excursions sponsored by the National
Association of Black Social Workers and by African-American
travel organizations in Paris, and at Barnard College, Howard
University, Texas Southern University and the Houston Public
Library in the U.S.
After lunch that afternoon we will go on a City tour of Paris via
private coach.
Day 4 and 5: Two full days of Leisure
You have two full days of leisure to explore Paris and surrounding
countryside on your own. Visit one of Paris's many world famous
museums like the Louvre (home of Mona Lisa) or the Orsey. Paris
has a brand new Musée du quai Branly’s with remarkable
collections from Oceania, Asia, Africa and the Americas. Fans of
African art should make their way to the Dapper Museum.
Take a day trip to Versailles or even London.
Day 6: Seine River Cruise - Departure Dinner
Starting with a beautiful luncheon cruiser on the river Seine. "During
this cruise you will enjoy fantastic lunch and experience an
unforgettable cruise through the heart of Paris in a unique setting
(From the Eiffel Tower starting point, the cruise follows the left bank
of the Seine all the way to the Finance Ministry at Bercy, and returns
to the Eiffel Tower via the right bank, passing by the Statue of
Liberty..). Completely transparent, the boats provide total and
perfect viewing of the beauty of Paris at night. During the cruise,
musicians, a solo violinist and singer, interpret celebrated French
and international classics. Enjoy "Ave Maria" as you pass Notre-
Dame and "La vie en Rose" as you sail under the bridges of Paris.
You will have the afternoon and evening at your leisure. This is our
last night in Paris and you can plan a fabulous farewell.
Day 7: Departure for JFK
This is the end of the Paris Noir Tour. Today you will be picked up
for you hotel for transfer back to the airport via private coach.
