Delta has announced a revamped business class cabin that has filled their regular customers with sheer alacrity. An all suite business class cabin will offer passengers with unprecedented amount of space and privacy while commuting.<\/p>\n

\nAll the suites will be equipped with a door, reclinable seat that can turn into a fully flat bed and an 18 inch entertainment system. In addendum to this, there will be more storage space as well as working space. These suites provide aisle access to each passenger and are expected to be launched this fall.<\/p>\n
These suites are designed to offer the most delightful and mesmerising travel experience in the sky. The suite will premier on Airbus A350 this year. These suits will also be equipped on Boeing 777 by the end of 2020. While substantiating the decision, Tim Mapes, Delta\u2019s Chief Marketing Officer said,\u201cThis product is meant to be as close to a private jet experience as possible and is driven by our customers, who were telling us that they wanted more privacy.\u201d<\/p>\n
A350 will be endowed with 32 such suites. All of this can be seen as redesigned Delta One. The better features will surely make the existing one happier and will reel in more customers. Since the previous decade, Delta has substantially improved their services. This is corroborated by the extra space in all business class suites. This extra space can be used for storing personal items like headphones, carry bags, shoes as well as devices like smartphones and laptops.<\/p>\n
Mapes also wants customers to see this as a product upgrade rather than a price upgrade. Robbie Schaefer, Delta\u2019s onboard Product Manager, while supporting the recent changes, said, \u201cRight now, we are focused on what these suites give our passengers, and that\u2019s more privacy and much more personal space.\u201d<\/p>\n
To counter soaring competition, and to manage its breakup with Alaska Airlines, Delta could not have announced these new cabins at a better time. United has recently announced \u201cPolaris business class\u201d and Malaysia Airlines had redesigned their fleet and cabins and equipped seats, 76 inches in length. Aisle access to every passenger and food prepared by world renowned chefs has become banal in business class. Airlines are striving hard to compete against the augmenting aviation industry.<\/p>\n
There is definitely a pattern here and the competition is likely to augment. At least the fight for the biggest share of pie will be a benediction for customers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
